The ingredients used in Body Love Artisan Soaps are all Natural and each one has it’s own benefits and special characteristics. These are the most common that you’ll find in our products and we’d like you to get to know them.
Castor Oil: effectiveness for adding an amazing lather and great moisturizing properties to the finished product. In addition to the wonderful lather, the conditioning and moisturizing properties that this ingredient adds is a great bonus for using castor oil for soap making.
Coconut Oil: The numerous minerals and nutrients in coconut are great for your skin. The oil can also work to help remove dirt and dead cells from the skin. Incredible lather it produces, the hardness it adds to the soap, and, when used in moderation, its great moisturizing abilities.
Avocado Oil: This oil is regularly used in soap making and other cosmetic formulations to help heal dry, flaky, itchy skin. Will provide your handmade soap with a wonderful stable, conditioning lather
Olive Oil: The health benefits of olive oil include treatment for colon, breast cancer, diabetes, heart problems, arthritis, high cholesterol, weight loss, metabolism, digestion, aging and cancer
Palm Oil: Some of the health benefits of palm oil include its ability to improve energy levels, improve vision, prevents cancer, boosts the immune system, helps to prevent premature aging, protects against heart diseases, and is beneficial for pregnant women.
Lard: Lard is excellent for your skin. Traditional peoples that consumed lard were known to have excellent skin with few to no wrinkles, even those cultures that had ample access to sun.
Shea Butter: Shea Butter Benefits. Moisturizing: The concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids in Shea butter makes it incredibly nourishing and moisturizing for skin. It is often used to remedy dry skin and to help protect the skin’s natural oils.
Cocoa Butter: Cocoa butter benefits the skin because it’s a great emollient, which means it works to moisturize deep down to keep skin soft and supple. Its thick consistency makes it ideal for keeping skin moisturized in winter.
Mango Butter: This butter is highly emollient, softening and soothing to the skin. Mango butter has protective effects against UV radiation and helps treat skin rash, eczema, insect bites, and poison ivy.
Goat’s Milk: Goats milk is very high in vitamins, minerals, nutrients, protein & lipids which help nourish your skin and remove dead skin cells, leaving your skin feeling soft and supple.
Clays (Kaolin, French, Pink, Rose):
- Kaolin: Kaolin clay has been used to help purify, nourish, soothe and heal different skin types.
- French: You may already know that most clay masks are detoxifying by helping to draw impurities out of the skin. French Green Clay is no different and has been used for years as a detoxifying beauty treatment in many cultures.
- Pink: If you include Pink Clay masks in your beauty routine also you will have the opportunity to promote the regeneration of the skin, that translates into a skin free of stains, scars and dead cells and in a much more soft and luminous face.
- Rose: The benefits are enhanced when powdered herbs and essential oils exfoliates, cleans and invigorates the skin and can also improve blood circulation.
Aloe Vera Juice: Aloe Vera juice has digestive and immunity-boosting benefits. It helps treat intestinal issues and its good for the heart.
Tussah Silk: The fibers of Tussah Silk add more shine, and more lather to the soap bar, and leaves the skin with a nice “silky” feel.
